In two appearances, the righty pitched six scoreless innings and struck out nine batters
St. Peter's Pitcher Marcus Monroe paved the way for an effective week for the Linden Tigers. Across Linden's 4-2 week, the righty pitched six innings in two appearances, gave up just three hits without an earned run and walked one batter to his nine strikeouts. In his second relief outing with the Tigers against the New Jersey Sugar Kings on Saturday, Monroe threw four scoreless frames and allowed just one hit. After giving up a walk with two outs in the top of the fourth, the redshirt junior retired his last eleven batters and recorded seven punchouts.
Monroe is third on the Tigers with a 1.17 ERA this season and is tied for second in the league with 11 strikeouts.
