Joseph Zammitti Named Week 3 Player of the Week
The Hofstra University product went 5-for-8, tallied four RBIs and did not strikeout
After beginning the season 0-for-6 at the plate, Jersey Shore Stallions infielder Joseph Zammitti has turned things around in a big way, raising his batting average to .357 following an outstanding week. The Hofstra University product recorded two multi-hit performances, including an impressive effort in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the New Jersey Sugar Kings after entering the game as a substitute. Zammitti's production provided a spark for the offense and helped fuel a successful week for the Stallions, who finished with a 3-1 record, and now sit tied for first in the Wolff Division with a 7-5 record. The righty's recent surge has been a key factor in the team's continued success.
To go along with his .357 batting average this summer, Zammitti's recorded five hits, a double, four RBIs, four runs and a stolen base.
