Braden Schappert, Standout Infielder from Ramapo College, Signs with Marist University

Currently playing this summer for the Essex Legends Baseball Club in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL), Braden Schappert has committed to Marist University.
The Sparta, N.J. native enters the Red Foxes via the transfer portal after a standout freshman season at Ramapo College, where he earned NJAC Rookie of the Year honors and First Team All-Conference. Schappert hit .392 in conference play with 29 hits, 16 runs, 19 RBI, and strong defense at shortstop.
Through 18 games with the Legends this season, Schappert has a .339 batting average and 12 RBI. The righty leads the league with 22 runs scored and is sixth in hits with 21.
